About

FOULED ANCHOR

We get asked this question a lot: "What is a Fouled Anchor and why did you call your business that?"

Well, here is the answer:

A Fouled Anchor is one whose cable, chain, or line has become twisted around the stock or fluke and is the worst possible situation to happen to an anchor short of losing it. In the United States Navy, the Fouled Anchor is the emblem of the Rank of Chief Petty Officer as it symbolizes the trials and tribulations that every Chief Petty Officer must endure on a daily basis.

The Fouled Anchor in our logo represents our owner's service to the United States Navy and his achievement to the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. It is a reminder to operate our business under the same Guiding Principals as the Chief Petty Officer with an emphasis on the following:

      - Institutional and Technical Expertise:  Be the experts in our field and use our expertise and technical knowledge to help our customers achieve their goals. We don't have to know everything, but we will know where to find it.

      - Professionalism: Maintain the highest level of quality and skills within our profession, measuring ourselves by the success and level of satisfaction of our customers.

      - Character: Abide by an uncompromising code of integrity and take full responsibility for our word.

Last but not least, the Fouled Anchor reminds us that as gunsmiths we will go through our own "trials and tribulations", but in doing so, we will hold steadfast in the commitment we have to provide the highest level of service to our customers and to "treat every firearm as if it were our own".
