Waffenfabrik Oberndorf Mauser Sporting Rifle Type S chambered in 6.5x58. These rifles were manufactured to copy the high quality English hunting rifles of the time with almost all of the Type S rifles destroyed by the end of WWII. This rifle was manufactured prior to WWI as denoted by the design of the buttplate, and is in excellent condition for it's age. Bluing is estimated at 98% with very minor wear marks throughout.
